rear wheel inner bearings

Anybody got a good trick to get these bearings out? Not much to hold on to. '73 KG

haven't done a irs in a while ,but,isn't the inner held in by a snap ring? if it is you will have to get a pair of snap ring pliers.

I've reviewed the posting history, and I'm a little new to VW's. Yes they all talk about a good pair of snapring pliers. I think the old posts are talking about removing the CV joint, removing the snap ring and knocking the axle and bearing out inboard? Is this correct? Thanks for any help.
