Carb setup? Porsche to VW
I saw some Dual Solex (PII40-4)carbs from an early Porsche on ebay. Would these work with a VW engine? Would there be any advantage to using a setup like that? I am planning my big engine build (1914cc) and need to decide which setups i am going to use.

i'm sure you can use them if you can get manifolds that will fit. but it also depends on what spec engine you build. 1914 can mean so many different things.

Owned a '59 Porsche 356A coupe once.. It had those Solex carbs.. they were a real pain to keep healthy.. I wouldn't wish those on anyone.
