Keep in mind that the typical Ghia type dis setup is heavier than your old drum brakes. This effects handling, specifically rebound response, so you might look into new shocks.

Marc, just went out and checked them, they are just under 9.75" inside diameter,by 2 3/16" deep. Also have a part number of 311-405-615A, also a VW symbol and a mfg casting company of W&E. I hope this helps.

The disk brake conversion is a far better setup though.</B><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

If memory serves, Type III drums were the same diameter as SuperBeetle fronts (9.822" turn-out limit). They should be right about 9.75" when brand-new - sounds like you've got some good stuff there.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

so, can i get a superbettle drum?

No, you can't use the super drum as it is not deep enuf(2 3/16 inch deep on the type3). Also super beetles use 4 lug wheels.
