Generally speaking, going to a ratio rocker will require shorter pushrods?, is this correct.

That's a safe generality, yes. If you maintain the same rockerarm angle at 50% lift and have more lift, you'll need shorter pushrods. You may have to do nothing more than shim the rockers away from the heads if your pushrods are a little short when you start.

the reason i ask, my engine is a 1776, the barrels have spacers to get the cr down, anyway the geometry right now is off, the p/r are a little to short cause my adjusting screws are about all the way in. i was just considering that my geometry would be better with a 1.25 rocker etc with out having to screw around with cutting new p/rods etc.
