Line-X
After seeing Dan Zinks engine compartment on T-4 forum I`m convinced that I want todo the interior of my thing with line-x. Anyone tried it? How is it to apply? Good luck. Bob Ingman

Line-X
My brother sprayed his Thing interior with Line-X. I'll try to get some pics posted.
Line-X is not a do-it-yourself product, it's a high pressure, high temperature spray system requiring special equipment.

Yes I would like to see the photos. Would your brother happen to be Jacob Raby? Good luck. Bob Ingman

No, Jake is a friend of mine. My bro and I own a Line-X and truck accessory business.
The bro's Thing also has Line-X on the bumpers and lower rocker panels...looks cool!
We're now building another project car..a '75 1303 sedan German look. The interior will be bare bones. No carpet, no headliner, and no back seat...Just Line-X! Going for a "strictly business" street racer/kafer cup style with a full integrated roll cage, smooth dash(with Line-X on top, maybe). The pan will have Line-X on top and bottom. Also in the trunk/spare tire well area, the under side of the front hood, and in the engine compartment. Line-X can get heavy, so in some places it will be sprayed on a little thin. But it can be built up thicker for sound dampening purposes or for areas exposed to abuse. Typically, a truck bed is sprayed at 1/8 to 3/16" average.
As the project moves along and we start spraying the Line-X, we'll take lots of pictures to post.
I also have a '74 bay window Bus that will be getting the floor treatment.

Yep, Those line X boys are my neighbors and stop by all the time....
They will be shooting my entire THING interior and trunk with Line X in just a few days, as soon asI throw some paint on it...
Line X is awesome, great stuff.
