Hey All,
Before I go searching aimlessly, does anyone know where the oil temperature sender(for a VDO oil temperature gauge) should be located on a stock 1600? Thanks.

Oil temp sensor location?
When I had the 1835 installed and added a VDO oil temp gauge,I am pretty sure that the sensor was tapped into the removable plate where the oil screen is located.

I believe thate are two types that I know of. One temp sensor that bolts in where the drain plug is,,simple to install and easy to sire up, and the other in the hole near rear left(driver side) cylinder (#4?) close to the pulley.
Someone also makes a dual temp/pressure sender to go into the same spot. That would be the ticket for both temp and psi.

i am not aware of a dual temp/pressure sender. the dual senders i have used have a terminal for the idiot light and one for a gauge, but they are both pressure sensors.
if you have case apart, the temperature sender can go in a variety of places but most involve tapping the case. if you have a drain plug already, there are senders that will replace the plug.
