Ok so I want to rebuild my 2.1 89 motor and wanted know what modification might be good for a rebuild.
Cam?
Head mods.. 3angle valve job? Size of the valves?
Counter balance the crank.
Anything else that could squeeze a few more ponies and reliability.
Also I am planning on removing the cat as its not a legal requirment on my Bus.
Any good suggestions?
Also how much does the 2.1 89 motor put out in BHP?
I want to think of providing for a good base for maybe adding a turbo.

Hi
Have aword with Laurie Pettit, hes up in the borders of Scotland... WBX god..
Twin 40's work well as does a cam.. A friend had him build a 2.1 with 40's and an Engle 120.. made around 135BHP at the wheels so i am told.. didnt take off till 3krpm though!!
UK engines were either 95bhp (MV) or 112bhp (DJ)

I am running stock injection and feel that I'd like to keep the injection system as its running schweet!
A engle 120 is a bit wild for a turbo and maybe a torque miester bus.. I was thinking maybe something like a 100. I didn't know that bug cams would fit into it?
Thanks for the tips.

You did the rebuild on that turbo bug running the 1.9 wasser right?
Yeah I was thinking mild cam, nicer heads, a counter blanced crank and a t3 running through the stock injection would rock.
Who built the exhaust for Marco's bug? May need some of those services.
Do you have the complete Tubo 1.9 wasserboxer specs that Marco's bug is running?
Yeah wassers do rock!
