Cam selection for a turbo Wasser
I need to find someone that sells a can suitable for a turbo 2.1. I emailed Gene Berg but havent had a response yet. Who else can supply? I cant drop in to most places seeing as I'm in Australia...

Cam selection for a turbo Wasser
Hi
I was talking to Richard at V Force about this today. He was telling me about a cam that Gene Berg designed for him after some consultation with some down under turbo experts. I will get some details or you can just call him. Im thinking about my next build up, one of these Berg cams, big valve heads, bigger injectors etc. Im using a stock cam, which in the WBX is good for a 6250 redline. You can fit most Beetle cams in the WBX by going to solid Type 4 lifters or if you want to run a wild cam you will need to rebush your lifter bores to take the mushroom head Type 1 lifters. Cam choice in a WBX or OBX, the hard work is already done, the world is your oyster.

Hi
The berg cam uses 308 inlet profile and 307 exhaust profile with 97 degree lobe centres.

Thanks Steve, I spoke to V Force and he gave me the details of the cam. it sounds like a winner, except for the $600-odd price tag
but it looks like I dont have too many options. Tighe, Wade and Crow have no interest in supplying it seems.
Hey, i'm going to have some wasser bits left over, such as a 1.9L crank, rods, stock cams, a 2.1L block (one case is damaged, and i'm using the 1.9L block for rego reasons), and the old pistons and barrels (2 sets). let me know if you want any of it for your build!
