are wbx connecting rods the same as T1 connecting rods? It looks like the bearings are interchangeable between T1 and T5 rods, but i want to make sure the rods themselves are swappable.
reason for asking is that i am going to an 82mm stroker, and would rather not machine down the pistons per crank manufacturer's recommendation (0.140" sounds like a lot!)
Thanks,

The WBX Rods are the same but the wrist pin is Type IV size (24mm)

Thanks joe,
then what is the best way to accommodate the increased stroke/compression ratio? Is machining the piston really the only way?

Joe, I'm curious---is .140 in safe with the stock pistons (we are talking the stock wasser pistons, or are they T1/t4 ones?)
There IS a lot of meat on the top of the stock wasser pistons... you could likely take off .250 or more (can't remember ring height right now, that would determine what was safe)
Also, actually measure your deck, the current rage is .040 or less. (you may NOT need to take off that much)
Look back a week or so-- Someone had some nice heads done by Oliver Knuth (sic?) and made the chambers bigger.

thanks for the reply,
yeah, i saw those heads... i am keeping upgraded heads for a later date, though, as i am trying to keep initial costs somewhat in check (heads like that would have basically doubled the rebuild cost). I'll be picking up those 95mm pistons this weekend, and hopefully they'll be beefy enough to take a little (errr.. lot?) machining.
John Connelly (sp?) at aircooled.net is coming up with some fancy squishy pistons for the wbx that have the different pin heights, but those aren't available quite yet, and are also close to $700 for pistons only... I'm not trying to be a cheap bastard, really!
