hey guys,
here's the low down:
i am finishing my sophmore year in high school next month, i have about $3 large, i want a VW. My dream VW is a 23 window van, but those cost about $8k base, so thats out. I want something differant (everyone in this town has a vet or a mustang) and i've narrowed it down to an old beetle or a thing, and now i'm leaning more twards the thing.

I would like to get one that runs and still have enough to do some work if needed. if it's in the DFW Texas area there should be no problem, but if it's out of the area, i'm gonna need it to run (my dad has his pilots licence so i can fly to pick it up). i dont know too much about cars, but my uncle does, but still i need the fix ups to be minimum. i'm probibly asking way too much here, but if you guys could help, i would appreciate it. thanks guys.
