Hey, I am looking at my webers and can visualize using a vac/boost port in place of the linkage arm. It looks so simple that i am tempted to try it. Question is would it work? The spring can be weakened or eliminated, or set up in such a way that it responds to low vacuum signal instead of boost since your transition off idle may not yield boost, but a lower vacuum signal. The reason i would want to eliminate the linkage from the accel pump is so i can seal up the shaft better. Can anyone see how this can possibly work? or probide some additional information/ideas. I think this would be benificial to all blow thru carb users who do not want to pay too much for the cb shaft seal process. I eventually will make the switch to EFI, but for now, i am tired of precious boost leaking from the shaft. Thanks for the info!!

Maybe it's possible to make a Boden-cable from one of the outer sides of the throttleshaft and connect it to the acceleratorpump.... This way you can seal the shaft and the acc.pump will still work the same way (mechanical).
Or better yet: try to locate Dellorto's: they have enough space for some lipseals inside.
Good luck,
Robin
