T1 Heads for Oxyboxer and head bolt replacement Questions

Post by Dyno Soar »

Is it true that some aftermarket T1 heads use the wateroxer head stud spacing?
If they do this should do away with the need for modding the case for stock T1 head studs right...

Does anyone know of these T1 heads?? Autocraft, Scat, Pauter????

Also I have been offered 2 wasserboxer's and one of the engines has a blown head gasket, which isn't a problem as all I want is the short block for Oxyboxer purposes.

The 2nd Long block has a broken head stud. I have been told that these are murder to remove and to replace. If I strip it down will it be possible to heat the stud and remove?
Or cut the head stud off completely and have a machine shop carefully drill out the remaining portion of the stud.

Thoughts please :)

:) Thanks for that link, much appriciated old boy.

The question remains:
What is the best way to remove a broken stud from a case??

I had a look into the archive, but I could find a answer to this one. :?:
