Looking for opioins for a vanagon for dependabilty

I have been looking at the vans for a while but really are they dependable the reson I ask this is because me and my sweety is going to make a trip across country and was wondering if they are trust worthy enough to make the trip plus we need something with more room so please helpme in this matter ok thanks everyone
