Wayne if you go with a thing Shop exhaust you are getting into a high end system. That being the case I would like you reccomend that you also check out the Gene Berg Thing exhaust. You can find it at the Berg web site. Good luck. Bob Ingman

I have a ceramic coated Thing Shop exhaust that I will sell for $150. I had big valves and portwork put into my heads and want to go with a different setup. Let me know if you are interested.

Thing shop

I had a problem with the fitting of mine. It barely touched the body above the muffler. I contacted them and they said it was fitted before shipping to a stand that is just like a car and if it didn't fit right it was my Thing's fault, like a bad tranny mount. If it was a bad mount I thought the engine should look lopsided but it didn't. Even they told me it should look noticeably crooked if the mount was worn out. They also told me after the first two times I called they would be getting back to me and they didn't. They finally returned my call with their decision of what to do after my 3rd call. Basically they would never admit their product had any chance of being off at all. I ended up spending an additional $30.00 getting it heated and bent at the local muffler shop.
As far as the other quality's it seems to be made really well and has an OK sound but it is a bit more restrictive than I thought it would be. I have a stock motor with dual Kadron's & I noticed it but you may not. Jake Raby is the one to talk to about that as he tested it and other Thing exhausts.
Basically the product is good and solid but I was surprised and disappointed with the service. I also didn't like the fact that it cost me an additional $30.00 to get it to fit correctly.

I installed the Thing Shop dual exhaust system when I added the 1835 with dual Kadrons. Fit was perfect, no problem with the sound, perfectly street legal
