What size is in a 87 vanagon?

Post by houseofghia »

I have access to an engine from a 1987 vanagon that was overheated. I am thinking about an oxyboxer conversion. What size it the engine? Is it a 1.9 or a 2.1? Is one case better than another? The 2.1 crank is bigger so that would be the better of the two. Size wise anyway. Thanks, Matt

(DF/DG code european market) with solex/pierburg cardbs and (DH/GW US market) with digijet FI

1986 - 92 has the 2100 engine
76.4 x 94
(DJ/SS/SR/MV) european market all with digifant FI 112/92/87/95 HP
US MV code with digifant FI 95 HP
