ratio rockers on a wasserboxer

Isn't valve float a consequense of not enough valve pressure? I would think the "solidness" of a hydraulic lifter is no more likely to induce valve float than a true solid lifter. As posted earlier I put some typeIV lifters in - a direct replacement, but there seems to be a question mark over this move..............no probs myself, yet! :?
