Good Deal???

Hey guys- I know this is a type 4 forum but needs some feedback. I've got a 62 - powered by a Jake Raby special but have stumbled across a 58 Beetle.

Body is in good shape, a few dings here and there, NO RUST or holes in the pans or heater channels, somewhat running original motor (but that would change - right JAKE - time to go BIGGER!!!hehehehe)and tranny. ORIGINAL interior is gutted but is needs some minor bodywork (to fix the dings) and a coat of paint so it would be ripped out anyways - is $1500.00 a good deal - what's your opinion. I'm kinda strapped for cash but also don't want a good deal to get away.

Bill, with the early beetles becoming so scarce, if it is in that good a shape, restore it. Then find an older body, with shot pans, slap it on a late model pan and keep the 58 "original recipe.
