Wiper Motor Maintenance
What is the typical wiper motor maintenance consist of-mine is starting to make some noise. Also what am I suppose to repair if the motor does not return the wipers to the starting position once it is turned off-they stopp a little after.

if the wipers do not park, then there is likely a broken contact. there is a springy metal contact which controls the parking mechanism and they have a tendency to shear off if the motor is old. the only way to fix this is to replace the contact.
as far as the noise, it is probably the motor needing rebuilding, which usually just means taking it apart, cleaning it and re-greasing the interior mechanisms. it is a fiddly job, but not all that difficult if you are into taking things apart.

motor rebuild
Our rebuilt motors cost 135
but if you mail yours to me, I can fix it based on its need and rebuild it also, usually around 50-75, if its not too screwed up or needing parts.
I can arrange a call ticket if youwant to save on shipping also.
thanks,
Mike

REGREASING
I use an all purposre grease,
mainly its the gear under the cover with the wiper shaft.
most times, this is not the main problem with wiper motors. although legend has it that it is.....
