something different?...

Post by Dunk »

dont get too upset.. it was in need of ALOT of welding.. i know its pretty rare... i do not have the finances to restore to bone stock with all the "right" parts.. i figure another one "on the road" is better than one rotting away to nothing in someones garden...

anyway heres my little VW..

hey Dunk you`re right better that the car is being driven and enjoyed by someone that appreciates it than setting out and going to waste. Thanks for sharing. Best of luck. Bob Ingman

thanks Bob.. glad you understand.. didnt want to see it "die".. took some doing to get it through the U.K. M.O.T. test!

and your right.. its a nice little VW to drive.. ive had bugs, T3's, Vw kit cars etc... it compares very favourably... really sticks to the road!... a touch noisy i grant you.. but i really like it..'tis damn good fun:)

am trying to fix the roof asap.. then the engine and box upgrades start!

Interesting car, where was it made?

what year is it? vin #?
is there a gas heater? or heat exchangers?

you can tell if the boxes were added on if there are another set of louvers underneath the intake boxes. those might have been added on later. but maybe all RHD Trekkers had those?

looks like somebody put bug arms on it,to lower the front.

If you need anyparts, I can ship stuff global priority usually for $9, under 4 lbs, flat rate, or 21 for up to a 4 lb box.

Hello:)

its a 1976 type 182. ive been told all "civilian" spec models over here had the boxes on... no louvres underneath them.

no to eberspacher, yes to heat exchangers, AV gear box, sump guard on engine, beefed up front beam and supports,etc...

bug arms and adjustable beam..

shipping costs seem real good.. ill let you know if i need anything:)
