Mark, Ive never parked in the lot at GMW. Is it impossible to get out if you are in there? I dont know that I want to locked in there for 6 hours. I think there are a few others that make an appearance. There was a Dave G. that I havent seen around any of the lists. I think Paul K. makes an appearance as well.

Matt- So where do you park if its horrible to park in the lot? I haven't been to a GMW show.
mgirdner- I do remember you. You also asked me what message boards I go on to. I like this forum but I haven't checked out the others. Maybe we should spread the word about this forum to get more Thing people on here.

Up coming Thing shows
My GMW experience:
Last year was my first time at the GMW show. At first I parked in the shopping center BEHIND GMW then walked over to the show.
While there, they announced over the PA that they wanted as many cars as possible IN the lot and asked those of us outside to bring our Things in. Well, I obliged and then they had me register and stick a display card on my windshield so others could rank my car. Once again, I followed directions.
Others followed in behind me. Now my car was in the MIDDLE of a sea of Things and I was stuck there for the duration. On top of that, I had the embarrassment of having everyone walk by my ugly car in the middle of all the show cars.
Eventually, I took the card OFF the windshield so as not to suggest that I was even in the running. I did have a good time other than that though.
