i just aquired a 412. due to the unattractiveness of this car i am only using the engine and all its related components. i will part the rest of the car or sell as whole. except for the motor the car is complete. has damage on rear passenger side and no back window. the interior is pretty damn good considering its a 74.

p.s. i realize some of you do find the car attractive. so please dont attack me for my lack of taste.

The parts I am interested in are the two rear fenders, the rear engine hood and the 4-speed transaxle. Ray

Hey, you were right Ray, I think this is the car I posted a little while ago (currently in Arkansas)...Still haven't had a chance to pick it up yet, but trying, just need to work out the scheduling.

Yep...thought that was it. It actually was complete when I saw it. It was pretty nice except for that right rear. Even that could be straightened by a good body and frame man. I did not get close enough to see if it had affected the fit of the door. Since Dan very quickly decided to not part it out....I lost interest immediately. I simply wanted a few parts. Ray

Yeah, too bad they did the bassackwards thing (in my opinion) of pulling the engine from a cool, rare car (412 coupe) to stick in something like a Beetle or sandrail or some other such thing I'm assuming. It makes about as much sense as pulling the engine from a Ferrari 250 GT California and transplanting it into a Fiat...

Just so people realize...on the two doors....the very rare parts are the rear fenders and the transaxle. All else is the same. I wonder if this car still has the transaxle? Sandrails with type 4 trannys are a waste of good parts. they could just as easily put in a type 1 tranny with a 3:88:1 RP...and have something they can replace when they eventually break it. Ray

Transaxle still there thank goodness! Still, it's somewhat of a pain to acquire a motor when the car had a perfectly good one... Anyway, stay tuned for the updates of my 412 acquisition phase... :D
