mounting remote oil filer adapter
I am in the process of finding a good location to mount my remote oil filter adapter. I have seen a number of Things that ave hahd the adapter just screwed to the top back eadge of the engine compartment. I am concerned that three self tapping screws will not do such a good job of holding the adapter in place. I also do not really want to drill holes in my engine compartment. Today while I was working on other stuff on the car I figured out that I could build a bolt on mount that would bolt to the driver's side stock oil bath air cleaner mount. I started making a mock up and then thought that someone else must have done this before. Is there anyone who has built this mount? Other thoughts on mounting locations would also be appreciated. Kubelmann the brackets (air filter canister) on either side of the engine compartment I have found quite handy for this type of use.
On the left I have mounted my fuel pump/regulator and on the right the external voltage regulator (late T-2). It actually looks better having something there than it does without . The little extra air streem in that location probably will not hurt a thing either. You should have room after hooking up your 45 Dells. Personally I think you will. I used them when using 36 Dells and again now with 40`s.. Best of luck. Bob Ingman
