I was looking at the pictures closely and it looks like these have indeed been grafted on, with the rest of the area for the "big" lights filled in.

Those are '74 wagon only lights. Look real close at the corner view of that light on that car. Notice....that the fender welting disapears under the light. It has been filled in with putty. The owner put wagon tail lights on and filled the hole either by welding or by putty. Ray

They look like 73' wagon tail lights to me. I don't know if there is any difference between 74' & 73' wagon tail lights but I had a 73' wagon and they look like what came stock on it.

After august in 73 and all of 74. The early 73 were larger. Ray

Still, I like the '80's-errific style of this car. It reminds me of what would have been done to BMW's in that era. I wonder why they chose to put those tail lights on, though, was it choice or necessity?
