Went to my local VDub place today to buy a crankshaft flywheel side seal (filled up my engine in the brown van with WAAAAAY to much oil, DOH!), drive up the DIRT ROAD to the TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN and sitting right there was a 411 Square and a 412 Square, older tags. The 411 looked really good red paint no rust and a great interior. The 412 was in worse shape. I think it was gold at one point, the hood had started to rust at the front edge and there were Silver Dollar sized holes on the sheet metal behind the fenders the interior is pretty trashed BUT ALL THERE. Talking to the owner I found out he got the Gold one in on trade for work he is about to do to the red one (replace the brake master cylinder, redo the front and rear brakes and give it a tune up.) he then asks me if I want the Gold 412, I ask him if he got it to run besides using that carb spray I saw in the open engine hatch and how much he wants, he says, " nope never ran on it's own gas, lets see how much the brake job costs."
What would you do?
What did I see today?

Welp I got it, good price also, $250 for an unknown car. Owner let me start working on it today. Car was empty of gas, THANK GOD. Poured Gas in it. primed the fuel injection up, the mutha fired right up. Had to replace ALL the fuel line, was squirting like a stuck pig from about 5 places. Of coarse We used 3 quarts of ATF because the tranny was empty as were the brakes. The front brakes are trashed, going thave to rebuild it all I think. Then the owner of the shop asks if I want to work on his customers 411.......
