stalln 412
Hi! I fire my car up and as long as I feather my pedal the car stays running. the second I take my foot off the pedal i cus off. It just refuses to idle. What could this be. I thought possibly timing so I undid the bolt and moved it a little to clockwise, no results, a little more and got worse. so I tried it counter clockwise and got the same results. could i be timing and I did'nt nail the exact spot or maybe the idle jets in my carb are clogged, what do you guys think? By the way I have 009

I hear ALOT of people are dumping their 009's and running back to vacuum dizzies.raygreenwood wrote:I take it this is he dreaded center mounted progressive? Check to see that its not flooding. Your float may be sinking...or a clogged idle jet. I would get rid of the 009. Its advance curve is not great for the type 4 engine . Either use the original FI dizzy or a 205 off of a bus. Ray

Oh i forgot, always use a timing light, never adjust your distributer "by ear" easy way to junk your motor.subrhyme wrote:Hi!
