You know what I don't get about that ad? He mentions the oil leak and instructs us to look at the engine - and I don't see signs of the leak! Anyway, the oil doesn't wind up on top of the engine anyway, unless he's got MAJOR problems. Should have taken a pic of the main seal or the valve cover to show us the leaky part.

But all in all, that car looks really great! I'm 6 or 7 hours away, but up to 11 cars now, and will have to pass, unless someone gets it for me as a gift. (I've tried hinting to my partner about What I Really Want for Christmas, but so far I keep getting sox and underwear!)

Shame of it is, I bet no one bids on it, and it is worth what he is asking.

That is one nice looking ride.

Every year I tell my wife I want a dune buggy as a gift :P . Don't know what I would do if she actually brought one home.

O.K.

I'll tell my wife that you said I could get it  . She'll understand.

I just picked up an early Ghia to add to my list. With our 2 daily drivers, that will bring my grand total to 11. I think I better stop... for now.

Hello Guys,

I am Jan from The Netherlands, Europe and I bought the 412 wagon just by seeing the pictures and some e-mails with the seller.
He seems to be an honest seller, so I will keep you all informed how the car really is when it is back in Europe!

Wow, that's a long distance purchase! I can only assume there is more appreciation for the Type 4 over there than in the U.S.? Anyway, congratulations on your purchase and let us know how things go! :D
