W-engine

Post by TAB »

Hi all -
recently I bought a W-engine as a replacement for my broken CB - engine in my 72' camper. It has welded fuel injection tubes and a dual carb 32-34 PDSIT. Is it better to use the 34 PDSIT of the CB engine?

Welded fuel injection tubes? Do you mean welded manifolds? of welded up air injection holes in the head? Ray

No, not the holes in the heads are welded, but the injection ports, these steel things, which are screwed in the cylinder head. Because the former owner used normal carburators.
Is it worth it to try to get a new injection system?

So the injection runner tubes have welded over injector ports in them? Ray

Yes, the ports are over-welded. But the former owner told me, the engine runned fine in a type 2... I'll see..
