thermostat parts

Post by radioman »

Anyone have thermostat parts for a 73 Thing. My flaps, spring and mount are in place, but I need the operating rod and the thermostat itself. Should I take a chance on buying a used thermostat from Mike Basso or should I pay for a new one? Still I need the rod and associated hardware. Mike didn't have the rod the last I contacted him. Bill

Check http://www.rgrautoparts.com/ in Manitoba and busdepot.com for the 111 119 159A, they still list them new at a not-too-outrageous price. The only place I've found the rods new was Gene Berg - but http://www.hdrogers.com/ in Louisiana says they have a used one for $5. (211 119 163A)
