kymco vs. moore

Post by seahag »

Last evening I sent a post concerning Moore Parts, after reading a similar post prior. After submitting the post I checked to see if went through to the forum and found that it entered successfully. Upon waking this morning I decided to see if there were any subsequent posts pertaining to the subject, and found that my post was deleted from this forum. My question is why my post was deleted, and why the previous post concerning Moore Parts was locked to all after just one reply. Something sounds fishy to me and I was wondering if there collaboration between this forum and Moore Parts. I have read all the posts regarding Kymco and their lack of providing agreed upon parts, and then failing to make good their promise of issuing complete refunds in a timely manner. In fact they completely screwed everybody involved in the deal. I believe these people have a right to make their issues heard and let the public decide if they choose to have any dealings with Kymco after hearing about wrongdoings done to these people. I was just curious why my line was cut so soon without at least a few replies pertaining to this subject.

Consider it this way: ever notice that Consumer Reports magazine doesn't carry any advertising? That's so that testing can remain as objective as possible, without being influenced by "we might lose this advertiser."

Moore Parts advertises here. I don't believe Kymco does. 'nuff said.

Seahag the post yesterday was locked after each party had a shot at it. I thought it fair that both be given that . I would have deleted the first post immediately had it not been for the fact that there was already a response at the time I found it.
Site policy dictates that there be no vendor bashing, sponsors or not. I had used our PM function to communicate to the original poster that I intended to allow the locked post to stand over night then delete. When I returned to the board to delete it your post was there and unanswered so it was deleted at that time as well. It served no useful purpose on the 181 Forum.
As far as the kimco thread is concerned, you have to take into consideration that it goes way back to last yr and began quite simply as a group header buy venture for the Thing owners that frequent this site and an online group. It was a very gradual process that eventually turned sour. All early correspondence was good and happy news.
The post that Marc V entered was more of an update on a long and continuing story. He did not simply appear here one morning bashing Kimco out of the blue.
I found it odd that today when I came to the 181 forum the first three threads were about vendors and not things or even VWs, Time to move on. As I said site policy dictates that we not bash vendors. In the long run we will all benefit from that policy. So lets keep our topics focused to what the forum is intended to do and that is to discuss the VW and the Thing in particular. Cheers. Bob Ingman
