Here are some pics of my new project.
I'm going for the low budget look (or ratrod, whatever you wanna call it), while using expensive parts. I think some nice ERCOs would look nice once I get my CCC fenders and convert it back to wide 5. Engine, tranny, suspension, wiring, interior, and other misc stuff are next on my agenda.
The pictures were taken during a wet sand and two more coats of flat black were applied. It looks great and I'll upload some hi res pictures of the final paint once I find my firewire cable (sorry for now I have to work with a 4 year old Sony Mavica that uses floppy disks as a media storage). The body is straight but certain areas need some rust repair. The pan needs help, I'm just waiting on my new MIG welder and then I can get started on weld up new metal. Hopefully I'll get this on the road with a 2332 turbo supplying the get up and go within the next 6 months. I'll post pics of the engine if anyones interested.
AAAaaaah I miss my ol 63 rag. I'd like to see some more pics..Esp. of the 2332 turbo. Looks like things are coming along. Don't rub your finger prints off wet sanding LOL..Anyway, cool deal. Looks like you'll be terrorizing the streets of S.C in no time. Fun stuff.
I went to Best Buys to buy a new cable. I ended up coming out with a DVD burner and no cable. LOL. I finally got my welder (Lincoln) and took the body off the pan. It is now on some sawhorse waiting to be reunited with it's lower half. I'll post pics of the motor once I get a cable. LOL
Best Buy is one of the stores that can tempt everyone from the computer guy to the house wife...LOL. At least the welder will keep you busy and having fun on the pan.
