Removing fenders?

Post by DeathBus »

Ok I know how to do it on a Beetle, but my 412 looks to have some sort of sealant where the bolts for the fender would be inside the fender well. Is this normal?

My Golf was like that, I had to basically look on the replacement fender where the position of the bolts were, then chisel the undercoating/sealer off until I uncovered the bolt heads, kind of a PITA.

if it is for the front fenders , it is normal , vw instal that for to stop the rust and onder the rest of the car , on my 412 i put back rumber glue (3 M) (spécial use only on the spécialise job, not for sale on the popular market , she have ACETON young children can sniff that ) that 3m glue is brun red , and you by smale tube (5.00$) on the dealer for to repair your home électric appliences, that is made for to seal the drain hose on the steel , on your washing machine , the exact no.is 3M 800 red in past not liqid , that is garentie by the cie for to resist at -25 de.F to 300d.F and any acid product , d,ont put on yours fingers it is very hard to remoove .
