412 Wagon .

Hey guys and gails .I have this car in fairley descent shap..recent paint.very solid car .but its a type4 and I need a type one engine for my sandrail project....well the question at hand is What is the 412 worth??/ and can someone tell me what the 412 stands for??

412 is the name of the car :)
Much the same as the Porsche 911, 912, etc.
Started life as the 411. The Type 4 (411-412) was Volkswagens attempt to get into the 'high end' car market.

Current value depends on the car of course. I bought my two 412 wagons for $1K, one driveable, one not. Look on TheSamba.com, they usually have about 10-15 for sell there, can give you an idea anyway. Also, type4.org has a for sale section.
