Hi,
Bob Ingman, the moderator, has asked me to introduce myself to the forum.
My name is Mike Basso.
I buy sell and swap thing parts. If you have any extra thing parts and need some other parts, I will be willing to trade.

My website has most of the information you may need about my parts. I only have a shopping cart for some of my items.
I am working on improving my site.
I make Side Curtains out of Lexan, they are unbreakable. they have flaps in the front and are solid in the back, for $350, I will make you a set.
I also make Lifetime wiper blades for the Vw Thing. They are awesome. $30 with your old wiper cores. My Dad makes Swiss Cheese Mats, and glove box mats, by hand just like the originals. He handpunches each hole, we have three grades of mats.
Economy, 75 stock, 85, and extra thick, 105.
I have a stack of Original vw Thing consoles NOS, I am selling for $45 shipped. I also have lots of stickers. I can get most parts, except for brand new parts, so if you are on a budget, I can help. I also have access to military parts. Sometimes I get hard to find parts. I go to most of the shows in the Northeast. I usually drive my thing there, with trailer in tow. I am a diehard thinger.
And I have lots more stuff, thats how I came up with my original name Windas Wipers and MORE. I thought it was kinda catchy, kinda fun. My wife and I recorded a funny jingle you can hear it on my website. we argue about whether I need to make windas or wipers.
I also have a couple of cars for sale and whole Nose side and rear end body parts as well as suspension parts, for you offroaders.
I also work on cars sometimes for folks.
I am located in NY, just off of the I-90 interstate near Albany, where 87 meets 90, not far from the Mass Pike either. I am five minutes from the exit 25 or less.
If you happen to be driving West on I-90, you might glimpse some VW Things on the right side, just past exit 25. Thats my place, VW Thing Land. I got trails out back and a couple of yard cars, of course they are things. well, I think I have told you quite a bit about me. I would be happy to help with your needs or just chat sometime.
I think it would be great if we could make some kind of Thing parts swap list too. Thanks for listening,
Mike
