Yes, those parts were discovered in a warehouse in SE Asia. Last I knew, they were only available as a wholesale lot. While I would love to get them and use them as a start for a Type 4 business, I just don't have the funds. Buying them all is one thing, but then shipping over a crate or container from Asia to North America or Europe is another. I can't imagine who would buy them all...maybe if we all went in together or something...

Yup...I recognized the parts list as well. So are they on teh continent? or still in Hong Kong? Ther are sone nice bumpers, fenders etc...but for the most part, most of it not things we run short of. Can remember the last time my bucket of door handles failed me, or my pile of tail lights...or a bumper bracket failed. Its rubber...and suspension...and sheet metal we need. Ray

The people who run the precious-parts website live in Hong Kong, while the parts are actually located at a warehouse in Manila, Philippines. The owners, Ramon and Joanna, sound very, very nice and are obviously big VW enthusiasts. In a footnote on the website, is says if you absolutely beg them for a certain single, rare part, they may give in an sell it to you...

The door handles are teh same as type 3. The interior door handles...the latches...fit several vehicles inluding some type 1's. Yeah...

its sad...i know exactly what part of town they are in in Manila. I wish i could have gotten to visit them. Ray
