Thank you for answering, but I have looked at that one and it's not the same..

The Turbo-flange on the picture is pointing towards the driver and the header that cb sell is the turbo facing upwards. The WG flange is also located differently.

But it can be a modified cb header???

Never mind!

I think I found it! It's a modified mid-engine exhaust that originaly comes with a stinger!

The Y-pipe is also a cbperformance product..

I will use this kind og header in my sedan, but you will have to cut away the metal underneath the seat..In other words, you will have to cut away all the metal above the gearbox! As this header locates the turbo inside your car..

I dont want to hack up my car, so maybe i can locate the turbo along side the transmission, and go from there.

Very Clean.

Anyone know of somewhere with some good photo's of mid engine'd VW's with the bodies off, so I can see what modifications are needed to the chassis etc.

Cheers,

Jim

on my midengine type 3 the pan was shortend, new box steel runners were added to hold the tranny and the torson tube was welded into place. rear supports were added to the body with runners to the rear of the box steel subframe and they shock upper mounts were relocated. oh, then the battery was moved to under the rear trunk.
