Getting ready to fire one up...

Post by ubercrap »

Well, it is almost time. After my slacking and procrastinating, I'm almost ready to go out and try to fire up a 412. I replaced all of the fuel lines up in the front of the car as they were brittle/rotten. Tank was bone dry thanks to the bad line. I checked and adjusted the valves, changed the oil, replaced the engine seal, replaced the air filter, cleaned all of the mud-dauber homes and wasp nests out of the engine compartment. Time to put in a battery and turn the key!

Well, no dice. I can hear the fuel pump working, but no action from the starter. I had my seatbelt fastened. Gotta do some reading of old posts and some other checking and try again tomorrow.
