Sealing with 518

Been reading over the searches but still have a couple of ??

Should I delete gasket on oil filter flange and replace with 518?

Sounds like it is OK to delete oil pump cover gasket on blueprinted 26mm Shadeck and use the 518 here also???

Can I reuse the clutch disk ( 0 miles) if I find it has oil on it? If I clean it REALLY good?
What cleans aviation sealer off? Laquer thinner?

I think I used the wrong (aviation) sealer on the gallery plugs. SO I'l use 518 on it when I pull engine to find the leaks.

518 is excellent for oil pump. No gaskets.

Filter flange, I'm not sure about.

Laquer thinner takes just about anything off. It's great for aviation sealer.

On galley plugs (threaded) Just loctite thread sealer (I think it is 568?) is what I use.. not a drop. But 518 would be ok too probably.
