Quick shift for a 5 speed Vanagon

Post by Menangler »

I just bought a '91 Vanagon dual cab with a 5 speed gearbox, I would like to know if any one has used the quick shift kit that gene Berg makes for this model, and how well it works.

Mine shifts ok but its a bit like stiring poridge, the shifter has a lot of movement.

thanks

Hi.. Funny you should ask this..
Here in the UK/Europe the 5 speed is very common...
I have some short shifter kits I had made.. very similar to the berg kits but I changed a couple of things..

I did hear that the Berg ones are difficult to get ad they had a supply problem..

I can post a link, but dont want to get flame'd for "advertising"... But you can ask about thenm on the chat at www.club80-90.co.uk
