Engine and Trans Removal

Post by Jeff Lee »

I have removed both independly for minor repairs and upgrades. How hard is it to install them bolted together as one piece? If anyone has done it I would welcome any suggestions.

Jeff, I'm no expert (but the experts didn't chime in anyway) I think not. I have only had my engine out of my thing once and it was like dancin with a fat girl, only it didn't sweat as much. I had to put it back in without the dual carbs, it just seemed like was a tight fit. I know some guys can do it in about 2 and a half minutes including adjusting the valves and stopping for lunch, I'm not one of them, but I still think full bodied car, install them one at a time. Just my opinion. Good luck with your project. Heh, you promised some pics soon...
