I drove 4 cars to that show, what a pain in the ass! That same show my 412 was beat by a Type 3 notch and a Type 3 Fasty, that wont happen at my club's show this year, we have a seperate Type 4 catagory!

I have the same problem here. It is very difficult for a Type-4 to beat a Type-3 due to availability of parts alone.

Thanks,

Kevin

Don't worry. By the end of this year....I hope that between grop interior buys, making some parts...and a little diligence on our part....we will start having some type 3 beatings. My car will not show up to a show until it is pristine. At that point...since I'm a printer......and I have thought about tehse for all of us.....I was thinking of printing a nice fold-up plexiglass sign board with a graphic schematic representation of the car from 3 angles, all the factory specs, all the mods, all the extras...just to look soooooper. Then when they try to register me in the type 3 class....I will tell them to create a seprate category for type 4's...or stuff it. Ray

I have to make room for a 60 ragtop Beetle I am looking at and the wife said one of the cars has to go, so since I have 2 12's, I can part with the 4 door. BUT only to the right person.

Finally gave in to the dark side of the force, eh DB? Now you'll get to swap pans with the rest of the horse-and-buggy crowd :P .

Well, it's enough of a PITA for me just getting ONE 412 running, the Base Commander would really go offscale high if I added another 412 right now  .

it runs damn well.

I really hate to get rid of it, but, the 72 camper is down for a resto, the 2 door is unique, and still has some bugs in it (excuse the pun), I put way to much money in the 79 Bus to get my money back (plus it runs just to damn good to get rid of! But I probably will when the 72 is done.) So that leaves the 4 door as Mr expendable. I have not had to put much money into it and it would be the easiest to get rid of. If pne of you guys dont buy it off of me (or the couple of guys in the local club I trust) then I am probably going to wind up with 8 cars in my driveway (the boss woman wont be happy)
