Post by mstatedog »

been doing body work on my 74 thing, seems like none of the doors are perfect...warps....dings..bulges...etc. Is this typical of thing body parts? Comments?

thanks,

Yep...

Thing panels are very flat ---I've yet to see one that wasn't redone with striaght dingless panels.

This is by design a utility vehicle. There is not support to the exterior skin. A severe paint job holds a straight line better than the door metal...

I have one perfect door, two Things and a collection of rusty doors for rocker repair. Each of my dorrs have one defect or another and I have no stinking rust. K-mann
