I know this does not exactly fit in with "The Turbo Chargers", but it involves fuel injection, so here goes,,,. As my first attempt at fuel injection, I've decided to build a stock bug engine using the stock bug FI system. I found a complete stock bug FI set up at a swap meet for $80. Yes, I know, you get what you pay for. I'm expecting to have problems. If it worked great to begin with, it would probably still be on the original car. Here is my first problem, I don't know exactly what year car this system came out of. Although the factory manual is good, it does not list year by year differences based on part number. Does anyone know of a reference book, web site or other place that you can look up a part number & find out a description of the part & what year car it came off of? In this case, the part number is 042 906 021. I'm thinking it's a 76, but I'm not sure.
