rear suspension on 71super....

For road racing, autocrossing, or just taking that curve in style. Oh yea, and stopping!

Having the ass end swing around is great... Intentionally, on an AUTO-X course.

I've been ~backwards at ~50MPH, going seeply downhill on a gravel road with a cliff on one side and a near vertical hill on the other...
with plenty of nice big trees, ready to catch me... bla bla bla.

SOMEHOW (someone MUST look after idiots) I reeled it in. I don't know how, nor do I EVER wish to recreate the situation to find out.
(IIRC I was 15 at the time, just got my license.)

Understeer is a good thing. Most folks are MUCH faster around a race course wit a little vs oversteer.
It usually has to be carefully built INTO a Bug due to the weight bias.

Do the rear bar last. It's easy, not expensive, and potentially lethal.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
