Hi Guys Im having a sale starting this weekend at my shop and I have two 944 susp/brake setups. I want to keep one but does anyone know weather they are the same except the calipers or are there other differences that can't be seen. One set has Brembo calipers and the other is steel caliper. also whats size wheel can I get to fit with the Brembos?
PS I will be selling the one I do not keep. I have all parts for both suspentions/brakes and tons of other VW stuff that I will be selling at my shop swap meets starting this sat 27th (Sat-Sun 8-12am) for the next month or so. hey mark. when i was looking into using the 944 setup before i ran into the wilwoods, i remember the brembos being the "overkill" setup, but who am i to be preaching about overkill. lol. supposedly the 944NA setup is the easier setup, but since you already have the turbo calipers(im assuming the 4 piston ones), id say go for it.
There is alot of info on www.germanlook.com. in the tech section, there is a guy that fit them under 15 in fuchs. i think the problem i ran into was in the rear, id have to run those wide Track aluminum arms.
i guess it all depends on what you are going to do with em.

The turbo setup should have a wider rotor to match the 4 piston caliper. You can use the 4 piston caliper with the narrower non turbo rotor, you just need to replace the pads before they wear out (to not over extend the pistons).
Are your turbo brakes off early steel arms, or aluminum trailing arms?

Both sets have the aluminum arms. And yes the calipers are 4 piston Brembo. Definately cool lookin
But I think I will sell the turbo set up for 250 bucks at my sale.-

You should be able to get more than $250 if that includes the trailing arms and stub axles.
Early 1986 951 944 Turbo brembo 4 piston brakes still used steel (beetle like) trailing arms. That is my setup. The Turbo aluminum trailing arms add either 1" or 2" extra offset per side depending on if they are 87/88 or 88+. The normal early 944 brakes only add a little offset.
