In my quest to get as much of the type 4 written word while I look for a wagon, I bought a "Genuine Parts/Illustrated Catalogue" -- Thinking that it would have PART NUMBERS. No such luck. Just 108 pages of exploded views with no part names or numbers. Instead, the VW supply system (at least as late as 1990 -- the year of this parts book) has you place the illustration number (page number) and a random part number (not the actual VW part #) on a tear-out card and send it to your local VW Dealer to get the part. Anyone try that lately? Do I have "SUCKER" stamped all over my forehead?
The catalogue has a blue cover with 2 type 4's on it. They're for sale on eBay all the time.
Suggest you pass them up.
