Thing Wood Dash

Post by Kubelmann »

This topic came up a long time ago. But tonight I actually got 1/8" cherry and African bloodwood that is wide enough to fabricate dash panel sets. I plan to make two sets including glove doors for my Things as prototypes and then will be making them for other Things if there is interest. . K-mann

I look forward to actually getting some done (finally) It took a while just to get the right wood for the project. Once I get the blanks cut out I will need to borrow a friends tool to exactly duplicate the panels. Then I will create dash parts for folks as interest continues. I have a fair collection of dash panels that I have been stock piling for this projects. I intend to make few sets of stock Dash panels that wil bolt right up. Then I will offer them with the option of either payuing a core charge for the meatl panels of sending me your metal panles in exchange for the metal panles i have clad with hardwood. I suspect this will make a terrifice winter project.
