type 4 powered 1960 bug trans suggestions

i have a 60 beetle that i'm putting a 2.1-2.3 type 4 in. est 150 hp i need a tranny to use with this combo. i have a side shift 914 trans but i would like to stay with vw parts as i have a berg shifter and i no longer have the 914 shifter or shift rod ect. i've looked into a bus 002 or 091 with folts swing conversion and berg mount though I don't think it is a very easy swap after reading what berg had to say about the 1960 frame horns i would consider just a type 1 swing axle but who to get it from. i plan on driving it hard as a daily driver. drag and autocross type driving as well. any suggestions? as inexpensive as possible would be good i'm out of cash and the wife is un happy with the 8k garage ornament as well.

All you need is a strengthened T1 gearbox. Give Kevin at KCR a call, he'll build you what you can't break. Do a search on user kcr, you will find his #.

that the direction i was going but i didn't know if the type 1 was good to 150 driven hard. i'll see what kcr has to offer.
