In Europe, the 1.8 was generally carbed...and generally put out better HP than the 1.7 with injection....yes/no?
Only over here...as far s I know, was the 1.8 used to deliver essentially slightly less HP than the 1.7 with D-jet. I think it was an effort to keep roughly the same torque as the 1.7...while delivering better emmissions. What a waste of displacment! Ray
