can any one tell me the part number for the trigger contacts for a 1700 cc 1972 fi engine .... either VW or Bosch numbers will do .... or even where i can get a new part from... tried a porsch 914 but they dont fit.

please help getting desperate now

Hi - I've got a brand-new set here and the Bosch part# is 1 230 090 000. They were readily available at my local VW parts store a year ago, cost around $100 I just checked the website overnightautoparts.com and they have them in stock for $89. Just go to the site and type in the info for a 1972 VW type 4. The trigger contacts are listed under one of the several categories. So that should get you going!
