Autocross shock question, beetle.

For road racing, autocrossing, or just taking that curve in style. Oh yea, and stopping!

Autocross shock question, beetle.

Post by volkswagen50 »

I race a 73 super beetle in HS scca solo2. What's a good rear shock to run? Heavy/stiff better? 50/50 or some other ratio? thanks.

on a budgey gr-2s weren't a bad choice. i eventually went to bilstein, and have been pleased. (this was on a standard)

I would think adjustability would be an asset. Bilsteins and Konis are both adjustable.

adjustability is definitely an asset... until you have so many thing to adjust that they become a liability. :)

KONI or Bilstein

Post by Southernbug »

If you're serious about racing you can't go wrong with KONI Red "Specials" or Bilstein. I have KONI's on mine because of the adjustability.

Good Luck!
